Solvit Recruitment are looking for Multi Drop Van Drivers. This is a temp to perm position for 4 weeks, followed by a full-time job, paid weekly.
You will have your own set route of deliveries and collections (parcels) from business users to general households in the Leicestershire area. You will need excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and take pride in your work.
Your first week will involve being teamed up with another driver to learn the route and the processes. You should have experience as a multi-drop van driver, a clean licence, and not have served a ban in the last 5 years. As you will be dealing with customers, we are looking for a driver with excellent customer skills.
You will be given your daily route and schedules to follow in a timely manner. You will need to load your collections, with some loads weighing up to 30kg. This position is Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 17:30. When full-time, you will work 1-4 Saturdays from 07:00 to 12:00. A bonus is available.
Average hours are 47.5 per week. The rate of pay is £13.00 per hour from Monday to Friday, which totals £617.50 weekly and £32,110 yearly, plus a £1,200 bonus.
Requirements:
- UK Driving Licence with over 1 year of commercial driving experience.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Previous multi-driving experience.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations.
