Solvit Recruitment are looking for Multi Drop Van Drivers. We are looking for experienced Multi Drop Van drivers with good knowledge of the Leicestershire area. This is a short temp to perm position for 4 weeks, followed by a full-time job, paid weekly.
You will have your own set route of deliveries (up to 80) and collections (parcels) from business users in the Leicestershire area. You will have excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and take pride in your work. Your first week you will be teamed up with another driver learning the route and the processes.
You will have experience as a multi-drop van driver working with business customers, and you will have a clean licence with no bans in the last 5 years, as you will be dealing with customers. We are looking for a driver with excellent customer skills.
You will be given your daily route and schedules which you will follow in a timely manner. Your collections will require loading, with some loads being up to 30kg. This position is Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 17:30. When full-time, you will work 1-4 Saturdays from 07:00 to 12:00. A bonus of £100 is available.
Average hours are 47.5 per week. The rate of pay is £13.00 per hour from Monday to Friday, amounting to £617.50 weekly and £32,110 yearly, plus a £1200 bonus.
Requirements:
- UK Driving Licence with over 1 year of commercial driving experience.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Previous multi-driving experience.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Excellent customer service is essential.
- Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records of deliveries.
- No DR, DD, TT, IN offences and no bans in the last 5 years.
