Solvit Recruitment are currently looking for a HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver. Minimum 1 years driving experience required. This is an ongoing position. We are working with a local authority who are looking for an HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver, you will drive a refuse collection vehicle supplied by the Authority to carry out designated duties. These duties are to ensure that all waste streams (including Trade Waste) are collected. This is a varied role and you will be working and assisting on your team, and on occasion, you will be on the road sweeper.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 05:00 until Finish however usual weekly hours 37. You will be paid £17.18 per hour excluding holiday pay, or with Rolled up Holiday pay £19.25 per hour.

Requirements:
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
- Understand Health & Safety
- Comply with all Site Safety Instructions relating to all landfill sites, waste transfer stations and recycling merchant sites
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations
- Excellent communication oral and written
- Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records of deliveries
- HGV Class 2 experience
- No more than 6 points
- No DR, DD, TT, IN and not served any bans in the last 5 years
