The Technical Hub Delivery Lead is responsible for the technical delivery of the Technical Hub integration layer, ensuring that canonical data from the hub is reliably distributed to downstream platforms. This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on the implementation and operation of the hub’s data integration layer, particularly the distribution and event publishing capabilities. The role works closely with integration engineers, data engineers and platform teams to deliver and operate the hub integration services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the delivery of the Technical Hub integration layer, with particular focus on the outbound publishing capability that enables canonical data changes to be propagated from the hub to downstream platforms.
- Defining and implementing event publishing and data distribution patterns using Azure technologies such as Azure SQL Managed Instance and Azure Service Bus.
- Overseeing the development of services responsible for publishing canonical data changes and ensuring reliable event delivery to platform consumers.
- Ensuring the integration layer includes appropriate resilience and operational capabilities, including retry strategies, dead-letter handling, observability and replay support.
- Contributing to the design and implementation of the legacy integration gateway used for platform-to-legacy communication during the coexistence phase.
- Working closely with architects and platform teams to ensure the integration layer aligns with the overall Data Integration Strategy.
- Coordinating delivery across integration engineers, DevOps/SRE teams and platform teams to ensure the integration components are implemented and operated consistently.
The role requires strong technical expertise in Azure-based integration and messaging patterns, combined with the ability to guide engineering delivery for shared platform capabilities.
