We are looking for an experienced Software Architect (Java & Cloud) to join a global technology team building the next generation of financial and trading platforms. This role combines hands-on development with high-level architecture, ensuring scalable, reliable, and high-performance solutions.
You will work closely with engineers, product teams, and stakeholders to design distributed systems, drive adoption of modern architectural practices, and mentor others while still being involved in coding and technical decision-making.

What You Will Do:
- Design and maintain architecture for backend systems and distributed services
- Develop and optimise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices
- Build and scale event-driven systems with Kafka and messaging platforms
- Collaborate with teams on AWS-native solutions (ECS, EKS, Lambda, RDS)
- Work with PostgreSQL/MySQL and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, Opensearch)
- Ensure performance, scalability, and availability of mission-critical systems
- Mentor engineers and contribute to best practices in architecture and coding
Core Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of backend development with Java (Java 11/17)
- Strong expertise in Spring Boot and Microservices
- Experience designing distributed and event-driven systems
- Good knowledge of AWS (preferred) or other cloud platforms (Azure/GCP)
- Hands-on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, Opensearch)
- Exposure to CI/CD, scalability, and infrastructure best practices
Preferred (Nice to Have):
- Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
- Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes
- Work background in fintech, trading, or high-volume platforms
- Familiarity with LLM-assisted tools (AI for coding, refactoring, documentation)
