- 🔹 What You’ll Be Doing
- Strong experience supporting and enhancing legacy Java applications, ideally across Java 1.4 through Java 8.
- Experience working with traditional enterprise Java application servers including IBM Web Sphere Application Server (WAS), Oracle Web Logic and Apache Tomcat.
- Strong knowledge of legacy web application frameworks and technologies including Struts 1. x, Spring 1. x/2. x, JSP, JSTL, Servlets, Velocity.
- Experience with i Batis, JDBC and Oracle database integration.
- Comfortable working with EAR, WAR and JAR deployments and complex dependency chains.
- Able to analyse, debug and remediate issues in large, long-lived codebases with significant technical debt and obsolete third-party libraries.
- Experience supporting technical upgrades, vulnerability remediation, framework upgrades and application migrations.
