Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior JavaScript Software Engineer to work on streaming video technology and playback solutions. You will help build and improve high-quality video streaming experiences across web, set-top boxes and other connected devices.
Key Skills
- 5+ years of professional JavaScript development experience.
- Strong JavaScript skills. TypeScript experience is preferred.
- Experience with video playback technologies, particularly MSE (Media Source Extensions) players.
- Experience working with Set-Top Boxes (STBs) or connected TV devices.
- Strong understanding of performance optimisation, memory usage and troubleshooting.
- Experience developing scalable, maintainable and high-quality software.
- Good understanding of debugging and resolving technical issues.
- Strong communication and ability to work with distributed/global teams.
- Comfortable mentoring junior developers and contributing to code reviews and best practices.
Nice to Have
- Experience with streaming video, adaptive bitrate streaming or low-latency streaming.
- Experience working across different platforms/devices such as Smart TVs, gaming consoles or streaming devices.
- Exposure to modern video codecs and live streaming technologies.
