The Impact You’ll Make in this Role:
- As a Business Sustainability Specialist, you will support the advancement of sustainability-related commercial capabilities and initiatives.
- Contribute to managing customer-facing sustainability requirements—including requests, audits, and broader projects—while enabling consistent, high-quality outputs across bids, tenders, and commercial engagements.
- Act as a key interface between commercial teams and cross-functional stakeholders, translating complex sustainability topics into practical, scalable solutions that support business performance, compliance, and customer needs.
- Drive continuous improvement of processes, tools, and ways of working—leveraging digital and AI-enabled solutions—to enhance efficiency, consistency, and impact with main focus on the EMEA region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate delivery of sustainability-related customer requests, projects, and audits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure accurate and aligned outputs.
- Support commercial activities with standardized, reusable content.
- Advise teams on sustainability requirements and customer needs.
- Ensure quality, consistency, and compliance of deliverables.
- Contribute to process, tool, and governance improvements.
- Support training, adoption, and capability building across regions.
- Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency through digital and AI solutions.
- Monitor customer needs and sustainability trends to inform priorities.
Key Requirements:
- Strong coordination and stakeholder engagement skills across functions and hierarchies.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams, regions, and organizational levels.
- High attention to detail with a focus on quality and consistency.
- Experience in commercial environments (e.g., bids/tenders, customer requests, or sales enablement).
- Ability to translate complex topics into clear, actionable outputs.
- Comfortable working with digital tools and evolving technologies (e.g., workflow tools, collaboration platforms, AI solutions).
- Demonstrated expertise in sustainability/ESG topics, with the ability to translate them into practical business applications.
- Solid understanding of digital workflows and process design (e.g., SharePoint, workflow tools), with the ability to collaborate effectively with IT to implement and optimize solutions.
Your Skills and Expertise:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related discipline OR High School Diploma/GED and five (5) years of equivalent experience in sustainability, ESG, commercial operations, bid/tender management, customer support, or a related business function.
- Three (3) or more years of relevant professional experience in sustainability/ESG, commercial operations, customer engagement, bids and tenders, or a related business environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of sustainability/ESG principles and the ability to translate technical concepts into practical business solutions.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional projects and collaborating with stakeholders across multiple functions and organizational levels.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear, accurate, and customer-focused deliverables.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and consistency.
- Experience using digital collaboration and workflow tools (e.g., SharePoint, Microsoft 365, workflow platforms) and the ability to adapt to new technologies, including AI-enabled solutions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
