We are looking for experienced CNC setter/operators who are looking to expand their skills, learn new machines and can commit to a rotating shift within a busy and rapidly expanding aerospace company in Wigston.
What you will be doing:
- You will be trained to operate either EDM or CNC grinding machines with a view to set in the next 1 to 2 years.
- You will be responsible for using micrometers to ensure the component matches the drawing.
- Working to both quality & production targets.
Shift rotation:
- Days β Monday to Thursday 05:45 β 13:45, Friday 05:45 β 10:45
- Afternoon β Monday to Thursday 13:45 β 21:45, Friday 10:45 β 15:45
- Nights β Monday to Thursday 21:45 β 05:45, Friday 15:45 β 20:45
Your initial training is on fixed days (average 2 β 4 weeks), then moved to the rotating shift pattern. While training you will be on Β£15.19 then once on rotating pattern moved up to Β£18.38.
To be considered:
- Even though you will be trained on new machinery, we are only looking for people with a strong background as a setter/operator on Milling, Turning or laser machines.
- Someone with experience working on metal components to tight tolerances.
- Able to accurately use micrometers, and be flexible enough to work the rotating shift pattern.
