At Solve Intelligence, events aren't a marketing side-quest. They're our #1 growth channel. We're doing 70+ conferences this year, we just hosted 100 of Silicon Valley's biggest tech companies in one room, and we're ready to invest serious capital to go much bigger. Now we need someone to own the whole machine.
Just ~3 years since launch, we are adding 7 figures of ARR per month, we have raised ~$60M USD, and we are quadrupling headcount this year. In-person events drive more of that growth than any other channel. Until now, they've been run part-time by the founders and our GTM team. You'll be our first dedicated events hire, based in London and working directly with the founders. Your job is to own events end-to-end; the commercial events that drive pipeline, the flagship we want the IP industry talking about for years, and the hackathons and meetups that pull the best AI engineers into Solve's orbit. Much of it you'll coordinate remotely from London; for the ones that matter, you'll be there.
What you'll own:
- Strategy & ROI: Own Solve's global events strategy end-to-end β across GTM, talent, and brand β and the return on every dollar spent. Treat each event as an experiment: measure it with our growth marketer, triple down on what works, kill what doesn't.
- Conferences (our #1 channel): Lead our presence at the 70+ industry conferences we sponsor each year across the US, Europe, and Asia (AIPLA, INTA, IPO, EPO) β booths, speaking slots, and the dinners and drinks receptions around them.
- The Flagship: Build Solve's annual flagship event from zero β concept, audience, partnerships, content, on-the-day execution. We recently hosted 100 of the largest Silicon Valley tech companies (Google, Meta, Apple, Microsoft) for a closed-door panel and networking evening; think ElevenLabs-Summit scale next, with real capital behind it.
- Curated gatherings: Founder dinners, customer roundtables, rooftop socials, and product-launch moments across London, New York, and Munich.
- Talent & employer brand: Hackathons, technical meetups, university partnerships, and our presence at AI conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR) β bringing the best AI engineers and researchers into Solve's orbit, in partnership with our Talent team.
- Operational excellence: Vendors, budgets, logistics, run-of-show, and post-event follow-up β all handled without drop.
- AI-powered event ops: Scale a traditionally high-touch function with AI β attendee research, follow-up sequences, content repurposing β and partner with our RevOps engineers to wire every event into HubSpot and Ashby with full attribution.
About Solve Intelligence: We are the fastest-growing startup transforming Intellectual Property. Our AI platform handles everything from invention harvesting and patent generation through to litigation and licensing.
Growth: 20β30% MoM revenue growth; 8 figures of ARR just ~3 years since launch.
Market: 600+ IP teams across 6 continents, including Tier-1 firms like DLA Piper, tech giants, and boutiques.
Impact: Users report 50β90% efficiency and quality improvements.
Backing: ~$60M from Y Combinator, 20VC, Microsoft, Thomson Reuters, and the founders of top companies like Stripe, Perplexity, Tinder, Deel, Hugging Face, and Canva.
Who Youβll Work With: You'll work directly with the founders, alongside our GTM, RevOps, and Talent teams.
- Sanj (CRO): PhD in AI (Gatsby Unit, UCL), ex-Huawei R&D, former lead at Magic Carpet AI (acquired).
- Chris (CEO): PhD in AI (UCL), published researcher, ex-Dyson and Alan Turing Institute.
- Angus (CTO): MEng Computer Science, ex-Qualcomm and Coremont (Brevan Howard).
Who You Are: We are a high-performance culture. To thrive here:
- You're a scrappy, entrepreneurial owner: From sourcing the venue to printing the name badges, nothing is beneath you β you'd rather run the experiment this month than perfect the plan for next quarter.
- You're a born host: You love bringing people together, and it shows β people leave your events talking about them.
- You think in ROI: Every event is a bet with a number attached. You're comfortable being measured on pipeline, hires, and brand β and killing your own ideas when the numbers say so.
- You have high agency: There's no playbook and no events team behind you (yet). You spot the opportunity, own it, and deliver it.
- You leverage AI everywhere: Research, ops, follow-ups β you use AI to do the work of a small team, and it's why one of you is enough.
- You're all-in: Solve is fast and intense, and this isn't a 9β5 (events rarely are). You get obsessive about the details that make something memorable.
What You Bring:
Must-Haves:
- A track record of running events people remember β conferences, summits, hackathons, or community events β owned end-to-end, with results you can point to.
- Commercial instinct: You can show how events you've run contributed to pipeline, revenue, or hires β with numbers.
- Serious operational rigour: Vendors, budgets, logistics, run-of-show, and follow-up all handled without drop.
- Comfort with a global remit: You'll coordinate events across three continents from London, and travel internationally for the ones that matter.
- Exceptionally clear written and verbal communication.
Preferred & Nice-to-Haves:
- High-growth experience: You've run events at a fast-growing B2B SaaS or AI company and know what good looks like.
- Flagship from zero: You've designed and launched an annual flagship event from scratch β concept, audience, format, brand.
- Technical events: Hackathons, meetups, or developer-facing events at an AI or dev-tools company.
- IP/legal familiarity: You know (or can quickly learn) the professional-services world we sell into.
- GTM stack fluency: HubSpot, Ashby, Zapier/n8n, event platforms (Hopin, Bizzabo, Goldcast) β you can build the workflows yourself, not just brief someone else.
- Brand & creative sensibility: You can brief a designer and have a view on every touchpoint.
- A network in AI, tech, or enterprise events circles.
