About the role
Do you want to build the IT and security infrastructure of one of the fastest-growing AI companies in Europe? Do you want to be the founding IT hire at a YC-backed startup with eight-figure ARR, working directly with the CTO to design the systems that will carry Solve from 40 to 200 people? Here’s your chance.
We are looking for a hands-on IT and security professional to own everything: device management, user onboarding, compliance programmes, and customer-facing SSO configuration. You will be joining a lean, fast-moving team and building the internal infrastructure that lets us scale without breaking.
Responsibilities
- Owning internal IT operations: Device provisioning and management across a Mac fleet using Jamf, Google Workspace administration, SaaS access management, software licensing, and IT asset inventory. User onboarding and offboarding, end to end.
- Building our security and compliance posture: ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type 2 programmes, security policies, awareness, and audit processes. Security questionnaires from enterprise prospects. You will own compliance as a function, not just a checklist.
- Managing customer-facing SSO: Enterprise SSO setup and configuration (SAML/OIDC) for our customers. Managing the technical back-and-forth with customer IT and security teams. Working with engineers to automate what is currently a manual process.
- Designing the systems that scale: The informal processes that got us to 40 people will not carry us to 100. You will build the tooling, documentation, and workflows that make IT and security repeatable, auditable, and fast.
Who you are
We are a small, exceptionally talented team building something ambitious. Every system we run needs to be as lean and well-designed as the product we ship to customers. We do not want someone who treats IT as a support function. We want someone who treats it as engineering. To thrive in this environment, you work closely with the CTO and engineering team to make decisions, bringing your own recommendations and driving things forward. The ideal candidate is smart and driven and can learn fast. But also has done this a couple times before and knows what good looks like, so can quickly understand what we are trying to achieve and move to execution fast. You are hands-on, setting up laptops, troubleshooting issues, managing software access. You find that work satisfying, not beneath you. You build ahead of problems rather than reacting to them. You have the discipline to follow compliance processes consistently, not just when an audit is coming. And you are genuinely excited by the opportunity to build something from scratch at a company growing fast enough to make that work matter.
Who you’ll work with
Angus (Chief Technology Officer and co-founder): Angus did an MEng in Computer Science at the University of Bristol before working at Qualcomm and then at Coremont (Brevan Howard), where he led a team building a greenfield trade processing platform that scaled to millions of trades per day. He will be your direct manager and main collaborator on the technical decisions. You’ll also work closely with the wider engineering team and, on the customer-facing security side, with our go-to-market team across London, New York, and Munich.
What you bring

- 3-6 years of hands-on IT experience in a corporate or startup environment

- Experience handling security questionnaires from enterprise customers

- Experience working as a sole IT operator at a startup
