The Business Support and Marketing Administrator provides combined administrative, operational, and promotional support to enhance company efficiency and brand presence. This is a multi-disciplinary role which involves keeping several key services operating at all times.
Responsible for internal communications to engage colleagues and marketing to promote Solvd.’s brand and messaging across multiple channels and supporting business development activities. Would suit someone with either a Marketing, Communications or Executive Assistant experience. The role is approximately 50/50 split Marketing & Comms / Administrative.
Key Responsibilities- Internal Engagement and Communications
- Update internal communication channels such as intranet, newsletters, email and full team briefs.
- Prepare messaging for key company announcements, updates and changes and submit for approval.
- Promote a culture of open communication and feedback mechanisms.
- Ensure consistent messaging and tone of voice across all platforms.
- Diarise Colleague Engagement check-ins (2 x per year).
- Organise colleague engagement events both in the office and external.
- Assist in organisation of full team events (Summer and Christmas).
- Support Wellbeing and Diversity, Inclusion and Equity initiatives.
- Marketing & Business Development
- Assist with marketing campaigns to support business development.
- Create marketing materials to promote Solvd. services.
- Write engaging and informative content for internal and external communications.
- Conduct market research to understand customers, needs and competitor landscapes.
- Update Solvd. SharePoint sites, website and social media channels.
- Track key marketing metrics, lead generation, and conversion.
- Identify business development opportunities via tender portals and direct approaches, triage and signpost to the key stakeholders.
- Monitor and track business development opportunities and pipelines.
- Administration Support
- Oversee Business Support mailboxes and ensure appropriate responses/actions taken with SLAs.
- Preparation of documents, presentations and reports.
- Credit Card and Expenses for key stakeholders ensuring timely coding and VAT receipts provided.
- Prepare period reports for Credit Card & Expenses for TUK Board.
- Prepare and distribute stakeholder correspondence and packs.
- Provide administrative support to Head of Operations.
- Support compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
- Monitor mandatory safety training, DSE and home working assessments.
- Carry out monthly office audits.
- Record safety metrics, environment metrics and carbon emission related to business travel each period.
- Maintain/replenish first aid boxes.
- Raise PO’s and complete GRN’s as required.
- Cover for Business Support Coordinator including (overflow support).
- Educated to HND level in a related subject.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment, being able to prioritise and make decisions in a timely manner.
- Experience of marketing and communications.

- Creative Thinking - Generating innovative marketing/internal communications campaigns and concepts.
- Digital Proficiency - Excellent IT skills with understanding of digital platforms and website tools like SEO, SEM, social media and advertising.

- Confidentiality - Able to demonstrate integrity, honesty, and use the utmost discretion when dealing with confidential information.

- Previous experience in a marketing, social media, or communications role.
- Previous experience in an Executive Assistant role.
- Formal marketing or communication qualification.
- Experience with software packages – Canva or Adobe InDesign, and SquareSpace or WordPress.
