🚧 Civil & Highways Manager – Infrastructure Projects Across the UK 🚧

Are you an experienced Highway Engineer ready to take the lead on infrastructure projects around the UK? Do you want to work client-side, in a remote based role?

We’re looking for a Senior Civil Highway Engineer with a strong grasp of National Highways standards to shape, design, and deliver highway schemes of all shapes and sizes, across the UK.

Working for a leading organisation in their arena, you’ll join a small but exceptional team delivering projects across the UK.

This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a visible role where you’ll manage complex design packages and work directly with stakeholders to drive real impact.

🔑 What you’ll be doing

  • Leading the design and delivery of major highway infrastructure projects – from junction improvements and carriageway realignments to car parks and drainage schemes.
  • Producing and overseeing technical designs, drawings, and documents in line with DMRB, MCHW, CDM 2015 and National Highways requirements.
  • Bringing projects to life across all stages – from feasibility through to detailed design and construction support.
  • Managing quality, programme, and budget control while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Mentoring junior engineers, reviewing their designs, and supporting professional development.
  • Building trusted relationships with clients, local authorities, and contractors.

✅ What we’re looking for

  • Degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline).
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (CEng/IEng) – or actively working towards it.
  • Proven experience in highway engineering: road design, junctions, traffic signs, and road markings.
  • Strong knowledge of National Highways standards and processes.
  • Skilled in AutoCAD with a solid understanding of CDM 2015.
  • Excellent communication, report writing, and stakeholder management skills.

🌟 It’s a bonus if you bring

  • Experience with Civil 3D, KeySign, AutoTrack or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of drainage, pavement, and earthworks design.
  • Experience working on Local Authority or National Highways frameworks.

Why join?

This is more than just a technical role – it’s your chance to lead, innovate, and influence in an organisation where excellence is valued and career growth is supported. You’ll have the autonomy to shape projects and represent the business at the highest level.
