🚧 Civil & Highways Manager – Infrastructure Projects Across the UK 🚧
Are you an experienced Highway Engineer ready to take the lead on infrastructure projects around the UK? Do you want to work client-side, in a remote based role?
We’re looking for a Senior Civil Highway Engineer with a strong grasp of National Highways standards to shape, design, and deliver highway schemes of all shapes and sizes, across the UK.
Working for a leading organisation in their arena, you’ll join a small but exceptional team delivering projects across the UK.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a visible role where you’ll manage complex design packages and work directly with stakeholders to drive real impact.
🔑 What you’ll be doing
- Leading the design and delivery of major highway infrastructure projects – from junction improvements and carriageway realignments to car parks and drainage schemes.
- Producing and overseeing technical designs, drawings, and documents in line with DMRB, MCHW, CDM 2015 and National Highways requirements.
- Bringing projects to life across all stages – from feasibility through to detailed design and construction support.
- Managing quality, programme, and budget control while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Mentoring junior engineers, reviewing their designs, and supporting professional development.
- Building trusted relationships with clients, local authorities, and contractors.
✅ What we’re looking for
- Degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline).
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (CEng/IEng) – or actively working towards it.
- Proven experience in highway engineering: road design, junctions, traffic signs, and road markings.
- Strong knowledge of National Highways standards and processes.
- Skilled in AutoCAD with a solid understanding of CDM 2015.
- Excellent communication, report writing, and stakeholder management skills.
🌟 It’s a bonus if you bring
- Experience with Civil 3D, KeySign, AutoTrack or similar tools.
- Knowledge of drainage, pavement, and earthworks design.
- Experience working on Local Authority or National Highways frameworks.
