Solutus Advisors, a market leading platform providing bespoke solutions for real estate lenders, are seeking a detail-oriented Loan Manager to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of UK and European commercial real estate debt transactions, working closely with lenders, borrowers, investors and professional advisors across a broad range of asset classes and financing structures. The position is suitable for candidates with excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and knowledge of commercial real estate, lending and/or banking. This is a fully office-based role, and the location of our office is Chorley. Hours of work: 9:00am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Work independently to manage multiple loan positions.
- Represent clients and investors daily in the capacity of Facility Agent, Security Agent or Primary Servicer.
- Review loan agreements, servicing agreements and other finance/security documentation as required, including coordinating legal reviews with external and in-house counsel, as well as Borrower and Lender counsel.
- Compile Loan Overviews, Abstracts and Task Trackers identifying debt service requirements, key terms, responsibilities, contracts, collateral and financial/non-financial deliverables required to establish and administer loan facilities within the Loan Management System.
- Collect and analyse Borrower reporting (including rent rolls, operating statements and covenant reporting) to monitor compliance with loan covenants and other obligations under finance agreements.
- Issue reminders for upcoming deliverables and maintain ongoing monitoring of task trackers within the task tracking software.
- Complete loan facility requirements including, but not limited to, sign-off of interest statements, review and completion of payment waterfalls, review and completion of redemption statements, and approval of Borrower payment transfers.
- Prepare and distribute Investor/Lender reports regarding loan and portfolio performance.
- Review requests from Borrowers/Obligors for waivers and amendments to finance documentation.
- Liaise and negotiate, where required, with Borrowers, Lenders, Asset Managers, Property Managers, Valuers and Solicitors.
- Arrange and collate documentation for execution.
- Assist with the training and mentoring of new team members.
- Support wider business initiatives and operational activities as required.
