We’re looking for a motivated and compassionate Support Officer to join our ADHD & Autism Services team in Slough, supporting children, young people, adults and families across the GEMS project and Solutions 4 Diagnostics service.

About The Role

You’ll support children, young people, adults and families affected by ADHD and Autism by:

  • Providing low-level support via telephone and email to parents, carers and individuals
  • Managing enquiries and referrals for the GEMS project and Solutions 4 Diagnostics service
  • Offering advice, reassurance and signposting to local and national support services
  • Maintaining accurate records and tracking individuals and families through their support journey
  • Organising, facilitating and attending social activity sessions
  • Building positive relationships with families, professionals and partner organisations

This is a varied, people-focused role where you’ll play a key part in improving access to support and helping families feel informed, heard and supported.

About You

You’ll be:

  • Passionate about neurodiversity and improving outcomes for individuals and families
  • Confident communicating with the public and professionals, including in sensitive situations
  • Compassionate, organised and able to manage a varied workload
  • A proactive team player with a positive, can-do approach

You’ll have:

  • Experience supporting children, young people or adults with ADHD and/or autism
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and good IT skills
  • An understanding of local services and the ability to source information and resources
