Solutions 4 Health are excited to offer an opportunity for a Specialist Sexual Health Nurse to join our Integrated Sexual Health Service in Doncaster. You will be part of a dedicated, multidisciplinary team delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care across our Level 3 and outreach clinics, helping to improve sexual health outcomes and reduce inequalities within the community.

About the Role

This is a varied and rewarding clinical role where you will deliver a wide range of sexual health services. You will work within nurse‑led clinics, providing holistic assessment, diagnosis and treatment, while supporting patients to make informed choices about their sexual and reproductive health. You will primarily be based at our Level 3 clinic in Doncaster, with occasional travel to local outreach clinics and some flexibility required for evening sessions. If not already qualified, you will be supported to complete your FSRH Diploma and develop into a dual‑trained contraceptive nurse.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Delivering nurse‑led sexual health clinics, including taking comprehensive sexual histories
  • Undertaking genital examinations and diagnostic testing for sexually transmitted infections
  • Performing microscopy, making diagnoses and initiating treatment
  • Assessing contraceptive needs and providing a full range of contraception, including LARC methods
  • Fitting and removing contraceptive implants (or working towards competency)
  • Providing pregnancy testing, counselling and onward referrals where appropriate
  • Delivering health promotion, education and advice on sexual health and contraception
  • Maintaining accurate, confidential clinical records
  • Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure high standards of care
  • Supporting safeguarding processes and managing sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy

About You

You will be a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse with a genuine passion for sexual health. You will enjoy working in a fast‑paced clinical environment and be committed to delivering high‑quality, non‑judgemental care to a diverse patient population.

Essential

  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration
  • Post‑registration experience within sexual health or a related field (e.g. gynaecology, practice nursing)
  • Experience of working in nurse‑led clinics
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied clinical workload
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Non‑judgemental approach and ability to support patient choice

Desirable

  • DFSRH (or willingness to undertake)
  • STIF or equivalent STI training
  • Non‑medical prescribing qualification
  • Experience of LARC fitting/removal
  • Experience working with young people or vulnerable groups
  • Leadership or mentorship experience
