Are you a driven technical professional with a passion for delivering smart, economical engineering solutions? We are recruiting a Project CAD Coordinator to join a dynamic and growing business that designs and manufactures pumping stations and pumping systems for a wide range of UK infrastructure and construction projects.
The Role
This role focuses on Adoptable Pumping Stations, designed to meet regulatory requirements for future handover to local water authorities. You will take approved and quoted designs and convert them into full technical drawing packages, managing the process through approvals, amendments, and final sign-off.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate 2D AutoCAD mechanical drawings
- Develop complete technical drawing and documentation packs
- Act as a technical support contact for site engineers
- Prepare, manage, and file O&M manuals
- Respond to client technical queries and provide ongoing support
- Build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
- Feedback market trends and commercial insights to the wider team
Essential Skills & Experience
- Mechanical engineering experience
- An understanding of pumping solutions and fluid handling systems
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and produce compliant drawings
- Proficient in 2D AutoCAD
Knowledge & Qualifications
- Understanding of pumps, pipework, pressure pipe systems, and fittings
- General mechanical and engineering principles
- Knowledge of Local Water Authority specifications and Design & Construction Guidance (advantageous)
- Previous experience in a similar CAD or project coordination role
- Mechanical Engineering qualification (ONC, HNC, BEng or equivalent)
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office; CRM experience beneficial)
- Good standard of English and Maths
- Proven experience producing 2D AutoCAD mechanical drawings
