Overview

We are seeking two skilled and dedicated Workshop Plant Fitters to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a wide range of plant machinery, including telehandlers, rollers, dumpers, excavators, and more. Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a variety of plant machinery, including telehandlers, rollers, dumpers, and excavators.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained to the highest standards to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work carried out, including parts used and time spent.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
  • Provide support and guidance to less experienced team members when required.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a plant fitter or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of plant machinery, including telehandlers, rollers, dumpers, and excavators.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Relevant qualifications in plant maintenance or engineering (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) are desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high‑quality work.
  • A proactive approach to problem‑solving and a willingness to learn.

Day‑to‑Day

  • Work a 39‑hour week, with flexible shifts from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and emergency repairs on a variety of plant equipment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth operations in the workshop.
  • Take advantage of overtime opportunities, paid at 1.5x the standard rate, to boost your earnings.
