About the Company

Our client is one of the UK's largest independent fire alarm distributors, specialising in the design, supply, commissioning and maintenance of fire safety systems.

With a strong reputation for quality, technical expertise and customer service, they continue to grow across the UK and are looking to add an experienced Fire Alarm Service Engineer to their team covering

Peterborough and the surrounding areas .

The Role

As a Fire Alarm Service Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and fault-finding on a wide range of fire alarm systems across commercial properties.

You'll also carry out emergency lighting inspections, ensuring all systems remain compliant and operational.

This is a field-based position offering door-to-door travel, a company vehicle and plenty of overtime opportunities.

You'll work independently while being supported by an experienced engineering and operations team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain and fault-find on fire alarm systems.
  • Carry out emergency lighting testing and maintenance.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with current British Standards and health & safety regulations.
  • Complete accurate service reports and documentation.
  • Provide excellent customer service whilst representing the company on site.
  • Participate in the on-call rota and undertake overtime when required.

Experience & Qualifications

We're looking for an engineer with experience working across a range of conventional and addressable fire alarm systems, including:

  • Advanced
  • C-TEC
  • Kentec
  • Fike
  • GENT

You'll also have

  • A full UK Driving Licence.
  • FIA qualifications (desirable but not essential).
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • The ability to work independently with excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • A proactive approach and commitment to delivering a high standard of customer service.
