An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Fitter/Mechanical Site Engineer to join a dynamic and fast-paced external site team. We’re looking for a motivated, hands-on individual to carry out installations, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of pumps and associated equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend Nationwide installation and breakdowns when necessary and ensure the call out policy is maintained
- Service, repair and assembly of pumps and pumping equipment
- Complete site reports after each visit, obtain a customer signature and submit promptly
- Ensure the company van is stocked at all times
- Undertake any other duties that may be required
Experience
- Previous experience in a similar mechanical, fitting, or maintenance role (essential).
- Experience with pumps or related systems (desirable).
- Based within a commutable distance of Bristol.
- Understanding of the mechanical or pumping industry (desirable).
Qualifications / Training
- Recognised mechanical qualification (essential).
- Confined Space, First Aid, CSCS, and SSSTS training (desirable – can be provided if not already held).
Skills & Competencies
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing demands.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
- Capable of managing workload effectively with minimal supervision.
