Location – Manchester

Salary/Package: £36,000 - £39,000 (DOE), Van/Fuel Card, PPE & Tools, available OT paid at Double Time, Call out – 1 in 6, 32 days holiday including Banks.

Client: A fast-growing building and facilities maintenance contractor, located in the Preston area. Providing electrical, mechanical, and building services to commercial and public sector clients across the UK, with a strong reputation in the Mental Health/Healthcare sector.

Purpose of the role: To complete all types of joinery, building maintenance and refurbishment work in accordance with specifications, building regulations and to a high standard.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out all types of joinery repairs and maintenance.
  • Assess the parts needed for a job and place orders for those parts.
  • Carry out Risk Assessments as required.
  • Ensure good quality workmanship which upholds company standards, complies with building regulations, and follows safety requirements.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and answer any customer questions.
  • Provide professional assessments and advice for customers.
  • Organise workload effectively.
  • Possess working knowledge of City & Guilds Advanced craft certificate in Carpentry and Joinery (NVQ level 3) or equivalent.
  • Participate in an emergency ‘out of hours’ service as required, including carrying out other multi-skilled trades work where necessary.

Must have or hold City and Guilds Advanced craft certificate in Carpentry and Joinery (NVQ level 3) or equivalent.

Desirable: Hold FDIS Fire door inspection qualification, CSCS Card, Full UK Licence.

Progression through the company is possible, with in-depth experience of the role being an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided where required.
