We are recruiting for an HVAC CAD Technician to join a growing Building Services contractor in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a CAD professional with experience in Mechanical Building Services or HVAC projects who is looking to develop their career within a fast-growing and technically focused business.
The role will support the design, pre-construction and delivery teams, producing accurate technical drawings and managing drawing documentation across a range of Mechanical and HVAC projects.
The Role
- You will be responsible for producing and maintaining technical drawings throughout the project lifecycle, from tender stage through to final as-fitted documentation.
Responsibilities include:
- Producing and updating Mechanical and HVAC drawings using AutoCAD
- Modifying proposed drawings to reflect installation and as-fitted requirements
- Managing drawing revisions throughout project delivery
- Coordinating subcontractor and supplier drawings
- Maintaining drawing registers and document control systems
- Supporting the production of O&M and CDM documentation
- Taking drawing briefs from clients, engineers and project teams
- Assisting with site surveys and asset register production
- Developing CAD libraries, dynamic blocks and drawing standards
- Supporting technical teams with equipment selections and specifications
- Working closely with pre-construction, project delivery and service teams
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience within a CAD role
- Experience working for a Mechanical, HVAC or Building Services contractor
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Experience producing Mechanical and HVAC drawings
- Understanding of ductwork, pipework and building services systems
- Experience managing drawing revisions and document control
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Full UK driving licence
