Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, the AV Presales Consultant will be responsible for shaping client proposals, specifying tailored AV solutions, and producing comprehensive documentation to support the entire sales lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed proposals, Statements of Work (SOWs), cost sheets and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Deliver engaging presales demonstrations and product presentations
- Create schematics, rack layouts and elevations (with minimal AutoCAD requirements)
- Specify comprehensive AV solutions for meeting rooms, LED displays, unified communications (UC) and corporate environments
- Conduct site surveys and gather accurate technical requirements
- Collaborate with the sales team to assist with scoping, pricing and technical validation
- Respond promptly to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and tenders
- Attend occasional on-site meetings as required
- Work closely with manufacturers and distributors to select suitable hardware
- Provide clear and concise handover documentation for project delivery teams
Experience and Skills Required
- Minimum of three years’ experience in audio visual design or presales
- Strong expertise in specifying AV solutions within corporate environments
- Proven experience with meeting rooms, LED displays, UC systems or equivalent technologies
- Confident in designing and communicating complex technical solutions
- Comfortable working collaboratively with engineering teams and diverse stakeholders
- Familiarity with key industry brands such as Crestron, AMX, Biamp, Q-SYS, Poly, Yealink, Cisco, and others
- Full UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
