Are you an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer with a passion for fault finding, diagnosing breakdowns and delivering first‑time fixes? We're recruiting on behalf of a well‑established building services contractor who is continually growing and has a strong portfolio of long‑term framework contracts across the North West. Due to continued growth, they're looking to strengthen their maintenance team with an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for carrying out reactive maintenance, fault finding, servicing and repairs across a diverse range of commercial properties, including:

  • NHS facilities
  • Schools
  • Public sector buildings
  • Industrial sites
  • Corporate offices

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Diagnosing and repairing faults on commercial gas and mechanical plant
  • Servicing commercial boilers and heating systems
  • Maintaining and repairing pumps, valves, pressure vessels, AHUs, fan coil units, burners and associated plant equipment
  • Delivering efficient repairs with a strong focus on achieving first‑time fixes
  • Providing a high standard of customer service while working in occupied buildings

What We're Looking For

To be successful, you'll have:

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer within a reactive maintenance environment
  • Excellent fault‑finding and diagnostic skills
  • Experience working on commercial plant room equipment
  • Valid ACS Commercial Gas qualifications
  • A full UK driving licence (clean licence preferred)
  • Experience working in live environments such as hospitals, schools and public buildings
  • The ability to pass an Enhanced DBS check
