Location: Ideally Manchester or Birmingham (UK-wide travel)

Salary: £37,000–£46,000 basic DOE

Package: OTE £55,000–£70,000 (includes door-to-door pay)

Vehicle: Company car of your choice (must be suitable for work)

Travel: Planned so you can drive home wherever possible; minimal overnights

The role: Join a CNC machine-tool service team delivering breakdown response, diagnostics, repairs, PPM and commissioning. You’ll be the on-site expert keeping customer machines running safely and reliably.

What you’ll do:

  • Diagnose, repair and service CNC machine tools at customer sites
  • Perform installs/commissioning; complete PPMs and health checks
  • Electrical/mechanical fault-finding; read schematics and service docs
  • Controls work on Heidenhain and FANUC systems
  • Produce accurate service reports and parts usage logs
  • Liaise with customers on root cause, fixes and preventative actions

What you’ll need:

  • Proven CNC field service experience
  • Strong control knowledge: Heidenhain and FANUC
  • Solid electrical/mechanical skills; hydraulics/pneumatics awareness
  • Able to interpret wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings
  • Full UK driving licence; right to work in the UK; regional travel comfort

Nice to have:

  • Mazak/Mazatrol or Mitsubishi exposure
  • Safety/LOTO and PPM best-practice familiarity
  • Spares identification and escalation experience
