An established industrial refrigeration and HVAC specialist is looking to recruit an experienced Project Engineer to provide technical support and engineering expertise across industrial refrigeration projects throughout the UK.
In this project engineer role you will take ownership of the technical aspects of live projects, acting as a key point of contact when engineering challenges arise and working closely with design, project, site and commissioning teams.
The Role
- Take technical ownership of industrial refrigeration projects throughout delivery
- Act as a key technical point of contact for project and site teams
- Review refrigeration designs, drawings and technical specifications
- Provide technical guidance to engineers, contractors and subcontractors
- Review equipment selections and ensure systems are installed in line with the design
- Attend project sites and technical meetings as required
- Support testing, commissioning, snagging and final handover
- Ensure projects meet the required technical, quality and safety standards
The Candidate
- Strong technical background within industrial refrigeration and/or heavy commercial/industrial HVAC
- Experience working on technically complex engineering projects
- Knowledge of ammonia (NH3) and/or CO₂ refrigeration would be highly advantageous
- Able to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong fault-finding and technical problem-solving ability
- Confident working with clients, engineers, contractors and suppliers
- Experience within food manufacturing, production, cold storage, distribution or process environments would be beneficial
