Job Description:

My client is the UK\’s largest producer of trailer axles and suspension systems, with a proud heritage dating back to 1898. With 16 production facilities and 20 aftermarket distributors globally, they are at the forefront of engineering excellence in the commercial vehicle sector.

They are now seeking an Electronic Braking Systems Engineer to join their Engineering Team. This office-based role will directly support the Senior Engineer – Braking Systems, contributing to projects involving EBS (Electronic Braking Systems), EBPMS (Electronic Braking Performance Monitoring Systems), and Telematics.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Support and report to the Senior Engineer
  • Deliver training and technical assistance to trailer builders, fleet operators, and end users on EBS, EBPMS, and telematics systems.
  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical support on-site and remotely.
  • Stay up to date with relevant legislation, industry guidelines (DVSA, DfT, etc.), and communicate their impact on vehicle systems

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Good understanding of Category O (HGV trailer) EBS
  • Methodical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Can professionally engage with our customers and suppliers at all levels
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Results driven approach
  • HGV mechanical training or technical HNC/HND preferred but not required
  • Willingness to learn
