Are you an experienced Commercial Electrician who thrives on fault finding, reactive maintenance and keeping commercial buildings running safely? We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established building services contractor with over 25 years of success and long‑term framework contracts across the North West. Due to continued growth, they're looking to add an experienced Commercial Electrician to their maintenance team.
The Role
This is a predominantly reactive maintenance position covering commercial, public sector and industrial buildings throughout Lancashire and Greater Manchester.
You'll be responsible for:
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults across commercial buildings
- Responding to reactive maintenance callouts
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Conducting EICR testing, emergency lighting testing and distribution board health checks
- Installing, upgrading and maintaining electrical systems and equipment
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Proven experience in commercial electrical maintenance
- Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills with a focus on first‑time fixes
- Experience working within live commercial environments such as NHS sites, schools, public buildings or industrial facilities
- Excellent understanding of electrical safety standards and regulations
- Full UK Driving Licence with a clean licence preferred
- Able to pass an Enhanced DBS check
