Position Overview:
The BeMS (Building Energy Management Systems) Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing projects ranging in value from £10,000 to £500,000. The role involves ensuring that contracts are delivered on time, within budget, and meet client expectations. The Project Manager will coordinate with sales, technical teams, and clients to maintain project quality, safety, and financial control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Initiation and Planning: Take ownership of projects following the sales handover. Understand the quote, scope of works, and specification documents to accurately plan and execute projects. Ensure that all standard documents (e.g., programmes of work, technical submittals, RFIs, and variation summaries) are correctly used and maintained.
- Health and Safety Management: Oversee health and safety aspects of all managed projects. Ensure compliance with relevant Health & Safety legislation and company policies.
- Project Monitoring and Reporting: Regularly monitor, review, and report on project progress, including any delays and resourcing adjustments, to both the company and the client. Undertake quality checks and control for all installation works to ensure they meet the required standards.
- Financial Management: Manage all financial aspects of contracts, including budgets, cost control, and financial reporting. Participate in internal training to enhance financial management skills.
- Client Relations: Maintain strong, personable working relationships with all clients. Ensure customer expectations are met and proactively manage any potential opportunities for additional services.
- Resource Management: Manage all labour required for projects, including electricians, commissioning engineers, panel designers, and subcontractors. Coordinate with project engineers and other team members to ensure project objectives are met.
