3rd Line IT Support & Infrastructure Specialist

Location: Gillingham, Kent

Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:30–17:00

Salary: Up to £50,000 (DOE)

The Opportunity

A multi-site UK organisation is seeking an experienced 3rd Line IT Support & Infrastructure Specialist to take ownership of its IT infrastructure and play a key role in hybrid technology improvements across the business.

The Role

• Provide 3rd line BAU support across multiple UK locations
• Lead and support infrastructure projects (server builds, M365 migrations, DR, networking)
• Manage Microsoft 365 environments (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Azure, Entra ID)
• Support backup and recovery solutions (Veeam / Backup Exec)
• Work with third-party suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Mentor 1st/2nd line engineers
• Support cyber security initiatives and infrastructure documentation

Key Skills & Experience

• 5+ years’ experience in a 3rd line / senior infrastructure role
• Strong Windows Server experience (2012–2025)
• Microsoft 365 & Azure administration
• Active Directory & Entra ID
• Networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs)
• Virtualisation (Hyper‑V)
• ITIL experience preferred
