As part of the client continued expansion, we are looking to strengthen our team of Health & Safety professionals. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting and enhancing industry-leading health and safety standards within a major housebuilding environment.

The Role

Reporting to the Construction Services Director, you will provide Health, Safety and Environmental support across multiple sites within the North Thames region, including areas such as St Albans, Biggleswade, Hitchin, Bishop’s Stortford, Hoddesdon, Sawbridgeworth, Berkhamsted, Aylesbury, and Stevenage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting site inspections and support visits
  • Producing clear, detailed, and professional reports
  • Providing technical HSE advice to site management teams
  • Carrying out targeted monthly compliance checks
  • Attending regular site and regional meetings
  • Supporting regional HSE leadership
  • Identifying and implementing practical solutions to on-site challenges
  • Building strong working relationships with site teams and stakeholders
  • Investigating incidents and accidents
  • Conducting external principal contractor/client inspections
  • Delivering in-house training to operatives and management

About You

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience within UK construction or housebuilding
  • NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (essential)
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role (desirable)
  • Strong IT skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Flexible and available to travel (including occasional overnight stays)
