Are you a driven Business Development professional with experience in the construction or built environment sector? We're partnering with a growing and ambitious organisation within the built environment space to recruit a Business Development Manager responsible for driving growth across the North of England. This is a predominantly new business-focused role, ideal for someone who enjoys getting in front of customers, building long-term relationships and developing a strong pipeline of opportunities across a project-led sales environment.
The Opportunity
- You'll be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities across a portfolio of technical and compliance-led services, working closely with contractors, developers, consultants, architects and other key stakeholders throughout the construction lifecycle.
- This is a field-based role offering significant autonomy, where success will come from your ability to develop relationships, manage a territory effectively and convert opportunities over longer sales cycles.
What You'll Be Doing
- Generating new business opportunities across the North region
- Building and managing a robust sales pipeline
- Developing relationships with contractors, developers, consultants and architects
- Delivering client presentations, meetings and CPDs
- Managing opportunities from initial engagement through to close
- Working collaboratively with internal teams to maximise customer opportunities
- Representing the business at industry events and networking activities
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in Business Development, Technical Sales or Account Management
- Construction or built environment sector experience
- Experience selling technical products or services
- Strong relationship-building and networking skills
- Excellent territory planning and pipeline management skills
- Self-motivated, ambitious and commercially driven
- Full UK Driving Licence
