Group Transport & Trade Compliance Manager
Location: Swindon – Hybrid 3 days onsite
Are you an expert in international freight management and trade compliance? Join a dynamic, growing group as the Group Transport & Trade Compliance Manager.
About the Role:
You’ll be the subject matter expert and lead driver for transport and trade compliance across the business, developing innovative solutions to streamline customer transactions and turn compliance into a competitive edge. Working alongside senior leadership and cross-functional teams, you’ll deliver cost savings, operational improvements, and top-tier customer experiences.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and implement seamless processes for imports, exports, and shipments across multiple businesses.
- Lead trade compliance and documentation activities, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Analyse freight data and costs, identify savings, drive supplier performance, and lead improvement projects.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and inspire positive change.
- Audit and review freight invoices, network design, and supplier contracts.
About You:
- Strong background in international freight management and trade compliance
- At least 5 years’ experience delivering process and cost efficiencies within transport or logistics
- Hands-on with supplier management and performance reviews
- Analytical and commercially astute, with proven negotiating skills
- Experience in Lean management or continuous improvement projects
- Entrepreneurial thinker with the ability to influence at multiple business levels
