This position sits at the intersection of innovation and regulatory rigour. You will work across the full product lifecycle—from rapid prototyping through to controlled manufacturing transfer—designing mechanical systems that integrate seamlessly with complex electronics. We value engineers who learn through making, testing, and refining.
Your responsibilities span new product development, sustaining engineering for existing systems, and supporting manufacturing operations. You will develop test protocols, conduct root cause analysis on non-conformances, and ensure all work meets medical device regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, or related field
- ~5+ years in product development, particularly mechanical design for electronics systems
- ~ Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks (3D modelling and technical drawing)
- ~ Experience with structured development processes and comprehensive documentation
- ~ Experience in medical devices or safety-critical industries (aerospace, defence, energy)
- Knowledge of ISO 13485, IEC 60601, and risk management (ISO 14971)
- Understanding of both rapid prototyping and volume manufacturing (injection moulding, sheet metal)
- Practical electronics knowledge (soldering, measurement)
