We're recruiting on behalf of a growing engineering business looking to appoint an Infrastructure Inspections Manager to lead the delivery of bridge, highway and structural inspection projects across the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced inspection professional—or someone ready to step into their first management role—to lead a team of inspectors while playing a key role in planning inspections, maintaining technical quality and supporting the continued growth of the business.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading and supporting a team of infrastructure inspectors
  • Planning and programming bridge and structural inspections
  • Preparing and reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
  • Producing quotations and supporting tender submissions
  • Ensuring inspections are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high technical standard
  • Advising site teams on inspection methods and access requirements
  • Building strong relationships with clients and supporting project delivery
  • Coaching and developing inspectors while maintaining competency standards

What we're looking for:

  • Experience within bridge, structural or infrastructure inspections
  • Background in civil engineering, highways, rail or construction
  • Experience planning and coordinating inspection works
  • Leadership or supervisory experience (or ready to step into management)
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety and RAMS
  • Commercial awareness and experience supporting quotations or tenders
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable:

  • Civil Engineering degree
  • IRATA, STE4, BICS or CSCS accreditation
  • Experience with specialist access methods including rope access, MEWPs or confined spaces
