A leading UK-based last-mile logistics services business is seeking a results-driven Fleet Operations Manager to lead its nationwide vehicle fleet operations. This pivotal role oversees the management, optimisation, and strategic development of a 400-vehicle fleet across c. 20 depots, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and develop a national fleet team to deliver safe, compliant, and cost-effective operations.
- Ensure all vehicles meet legal, regulatory, and internal safety standards.
- Develop and improve supplier management, ensuring the best relationship for the greatest value.
- Take ownership of fleet policy, vehicle procurement strategy, service schedules, and telematics utilisation.
- Proactively identify and implement fleet process improvements to drive down operating costs and reduce downtime.
- Champion continuous improvement, innovation, and sustainability across fleet operations.
