We’re supporting a leading organisation with an urgent requirement for an experienced Site Manager / CDM & H&S professional to join their team on a long-term term contract. This is a hands-on role supporting a major client site in the Worksop area, with a particular focus on site management during planned shutdowns, as well as providing CDM and Health & Safety support across an industrial environment. The initial contract is expected to run through to March 2028, with the potential for the position to become permanent.
The role
- Supporting the safe and effective delivery of site activities, working closely with clients, contractors and other project stakeholders.
- Providing day-to-day site management and coordination during planned shutdown periods.
- Supporting the delivery of shutdown and construction activities safely and efficiently.
- Ensuring compliance with CDM 2015 and relevant Health & Safety requirements.
- Working closely with contractors, project teams and client representatives.
- Monitoring site activities, identifying risks and ensuring appropriate controls are in place.
- Reviewing RAMS, construction information and other relevant documentation.
- Carrying out site inspections and addressing any H&S or compliance issues.
- Supporting project and construction teams with practical CDM and H&S advice.
- Maintaining clear records and producing reports where required.
- Helping ensure activities are properly planned, coordinated and delivered.
About you
- Strong practical site management and industrial/construction background.
- Recent and relevant Site Management experience.
- A valid SMSTS certificate.
- Strong working knowledge of CDM 2015.
- Experience working within an industrial, engineering, manufacturing or construction environment.
- A good understanding of Health & Safety requirements on active sites.
- Experience working with contractors and multiple project stakeholders.
- The ability to work independently and confidently on a client site.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A practical, solutions-focused approach.
- Experience across design, manufacturing, construction and/or H&S would be particularly beneficial.
Location & working arrangements
This is a site-based position, with the successful candidate expected to be on the client site 5 days per week. Due to the nature of the role, candidates must be based within a reasonable commuting distance of Worksop and comfortable with the site-based requirements.
What's on offer?
- £55,000 salary + £4,800 car allowance.
- Salary open to further negotiation for an excellent/particularly well-suited candidate.
- Paid holiday and pension.
