Field-Based | Growing Inspection Business

Due to continued growth, Bureau Technical Inspection Services is looking for a Machinery Engineer Surveyor to join our expanding engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer who enjoys autonomy in the field, managing client relationships, and ensuring machinery compliance to current regulations.

The Role You will:

  • Carry out machinery inspections safely and to high professional standards
  • Produce clear, timely inspection reports
  • Manage your own client portfolio and support ongoing compliance
  • Build strong client relationships and identify additional service opportunities
  • Represent the business in a professional and safety-focused manner

Knowledge of Pressure Systems, Power Press, or LEV is advantageous, though training will be provided as our accreditations expand.

What We're Looking For

  • Level 4 engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree/NVQ4 or equivalent)
  • Experience inspecting and/or maintaining machinery equipment
  • Understanding of ISO 17020 standards (desirable)
  • Strong report writing and communication skills
  • Confident decision-maker with a professional, non-confrontational approach
  • Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working independently
  • Good IT skills and a methodical, safety-first mindset

Competitive salary (£39k-£50k, depending on experience).

£5,000 car allowance + mileage reimbursement at 22p/mile (HMRC tax reclaim options).
