Solutions Driven is seeking a Field Service Engineer/Thorough Examination Engineer for our client, Statutory Inspections Ltd, covering the south and southeast England region.

Location: Covering a wide South & South East England patch (Dorset, Hampshire, Surrey, Kent, Greater London, Essex – home location flexible within this region)

Salary: Starting from £34,000 (DOE) + Overtime + Company Van + Benefits

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct Thorough Examinations at client sites, on a variety of lifting equipment—primarily, but not limited to, forklifts—in accordance with relevant legislation.
  • Operate machinery as part of testing and inspection.
  • Complete legal documentation accurately and on time.
  • Liaise with customers when urgent equipment repairs are needed.
  • Adhere to Health, Safety, and site-specific protocols.
  • Work field-based, covering one of the above regions.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum 5 years' engineering experience with forklifts and/or other material handling equipment.
  • Experience with a range of forklift types is highly desirable; training will be provided to cover additional equipment.
  • Strong Health & Safety awareness.
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office, basic tablet use).
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Able to travel within your assigned region.

Please note: Forklifts are our primary source of inspections. However, we cover a much wider range of equipment. Full internal and external training is provided for the full range of equipment we inspect. If you have solid knowledge and skills with different types of forklifts, we can help you build on this experience and upskill in other equipment types.
