Field-Based | Growing Inspection Business
Due to continued growth, Bureau Technical Inspection Services is looking for a Machinery Engineer Surveyor to join our expanding engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer who enjoys autonomy in the field, managing client relationships, and ensuring machinery compliance to current regulations.
The Role
- Carry out machinery inspections safely and to high professional standards
- Produce clear, timely inspection reports
- Manage your own client portfolio and support ongoing compliance
- Build strong client relationships and identify additional service opportunities
- Represent the business in a professional and safety-focused manner
Knowledge of Pressure Systems, Power Press, or LEV is advantageous, though training will be provided as our accreditations expand.
What We’re Looking For
- Level 4 engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree/NVQ4 or equivalent)
- Experience inspecting and/or maintaining machinery equipment
- Understanding of ISO 17020 standards (desirable)
- Strong report writing and communication skills
- Confident decision-maker with a professional, non-confrontational approach
- Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working independently
- Good IT skills and a methodical, safety-first mindset
