Are you a qualified accountant with 2-3 years of post‑qualification experience, looking to take the next step in your career? This is an opportunity to join a growing service sector business, supporting a portfolio of operating companies while progressing your own development in a high‑growth environment.

About the Role

Support the divisional portfolio (c. 10 operating companies) as the point person for FP&A, budgeting, and forecasting. Inherit and manage the integrity of the general ledger and month‑end close across several business units, supporting robust analysis and timely financial reporting. Play a hands‑on, “get stuck in” role. Lead and support budgeting cycles, rolling forecasts, and scenario planning, working closely with operational teams and senior leaders. Partner with business units to deliver actionable financial insights, drive efficiencies, and support decision‑making at all levels. Travel required to operational sites across South Yorkshire and the East Midlands, but a remote‑based contract. The business is global and growing, offering career progression beyond divisional finance, including scope to step up as a future number 2.

Candidate Profile

CIMA or ACCA qualified, with approximately 2‑3 years’ experience post‑qualification (management accounting or business partnering background, ideally in the service sector or health & safety). Motivated self‑starter: You enjoy getting hands‑on, building models, and driving improvements, rather than operating from afar. Demonstrated experience in budgeting, rolling forecasting, FP&A, and delivering financial insight to operational leaders. Skilled in Excel and comfortable with a variety of accounting/ERP packages. Culture fit is essential: we value collaboration, accountability, and adaptability. RBM Planning and Analytics exposure would be a distinct advantage. Looking to step up, not “sit still” — this role is for someone keen to get more involved and grow with the business.

Seniority level: Mid‑Senior level
Employment type: Full‑time
Job function: Finance and Accounting/Auditing
Industries: Business Consulting and Services
