About the Company
The business is a fast-growing, private equity-backed group operating across a highly technical, global services sector. Since its inception, the business has scaled rapidly to significant turnover while maintaining an agile, low-bureaucracy culture. The organisation combines the stability of a large group with the pace and flexibility of a scaling business, offering a dynamic environment where finance plays a key role in driving performance and transformation.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced and hands-on RTR Lead to take ownership of the Record-to-Report cycle across the Group. This is a high-impact leadership role, combining technical accounting expertise with process optimisation and system improvement. You’ll play a key role in continuing the transformation of the finance function, building on recent success in reducing the month-end close cycle from c.10 days to 5 days, with a focus on further optimisation and upstream problem-solving.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and optimise the month-end close process, actively contributing where needed
- Own General Ledger integrity, ensuring accurate and timely balance sheet reconciliations
- Manage group consolidation and intercompany processes across a multi-entity structure
- Oversee fixed assets, depreciation, and technical accounting areas (e.g. IFRS, revenue recognition)
- Act as the primary contact for external audit, ensuring audit readiness and compliance
- Drive process improvement and automation within NetSuite, reducing manual workarounds
- Identify and resolve root causes of reporting delays, discrepancies, and inefficiencies
- Partner with senior stakeholders and lead, coach and develop the RTR team
What Success Looks Like
- Continued reduction and optimisation of the financial close cycle
- Stronger accuracy, controls, and audit readiness
- Increased automation and reduced manual intervention
- Clear visibility of issues, bottlenecks, and root causes
- A high-performing, engaged RTR team
About You
Essential:
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Strong experience leading RTR / GL in multi-entity environments
- Proven track record of improving financial close processes
- Hands-on ERP experience (NetSuite highly desirable)
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- A pragmatic, detail-oriented and hands-on approach
Desirable:
- Deep NetSuite expertise (GL, Fixed Assets, Consolidation)
- Experience in shared services or PE-backed environments
- Ability to balance technical accounting with transformation and change
Why Join?
- Lead and shape a growing RTR function in a scaling business
- Be part of a high-impact finance transformation programme
- Gain exposure to senior leadership and group-level finance
- Join a fast-growing, PE-backed organisation with ambitious plans
The Challenge
This role offers the opportunity to tackle real complexity, from managing a decentralised, multi-entity structure to driving consistency, improving upstream processes, and leveraging NetSuite to its full potential. If you’re a technically strong, hands-on finance leader who thrives on improving processes and driving change, we’d love to hear from you.
