This is a Global Process Owner role: governance, standardisation and continuous improvement, not operational financial accounting. You'll own the global Record-to-Report process, covering general ledger accounting, period-end close, intercompany accounting, fixed assets, reconciliations and financial reporting, and support the implementation of NetSuite across the Group.

About the business: A fast-growing international group, built through acquisition across a wide range of industries and markets. It operates at real scale while staying deliberately free of the bureaucracy that usually comes with it, serving a global, diversified client base.

The role: Reporting to the Head of Group Business Services, you'll establish a globally consistent accounting framework capable of supporting future acquisitions, improving the speed, quality and governance of financial reporting across the Group.

What you'll be doing:

  • Own the global Record-to-Report operating model and multi-year roadmap
  • Standardise financial close, reconciliation and reporting processes
  • Improve month-end close performance and financial reporting quality
  • Support NetSuite implementation and future finance transformation initiatives
  • Strengthen financial controls and governance across the Group
  • Introduce automation and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Partner with Group Finance, Financial Controllers, Tax, Treasury and Shared Services
  • Drive consistent accounting processes across all operating companies

What we're looking for:

  • Must have:
  • Extensive Record-to-Report or Financial Control leadership experience (10+ years)
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Strong technical accounting and financial controls knowledge
  • ERP implementation or finance transformation experience
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Ideal:
  • NetSuite, SAP or Oracle experience
  • Exposure to financial close automation platforms such as BlackLine, Trintech Cadency or FloQast
  • Experience within Shared Services or Global Business Services
  • Background within a multinational or acquisitive organisation

Why this role: Businesses across the Group currently operate with differing accounting systems and reporting processes, and month-end close consistency and financial visibility remain a key priority. You'll help shape the future finance operating model, lead the standardisation of accounting processes across multiple countries, and influence the successful delivery of the global NetSuite programme. Success will be measured by the creation of a scalable global reporting framework capable of supporting future international growth, balancing technical accounting expertise with strong stakeholder management and change leadership.
