Leicester or London (Hybrid) | £90,000–£100,000 + Annual Bonus + Car Allowance + Private Medical

This is a Global Process Owner role: process design and governance, not transactional Shared Services. You'll set the global standard for Procure-to-Pay, from supplier onboarding through to payment, and support the operational teams putting it into practice.

About the business

A fast-growing international group, built through acquisition across a wide range of industries and markets. It operates at real scale while staying deliberately free of the bureaucracy that usually comes with it, serving a global, diversified client base.

The role

Reporting to the Head of Group Business Services, you'll build the global operating model for PTP alongside the Group's ongoing acquisition strategy and NetSuite rollout, working closely with Shared Services Operations, Procurement, Finance and IT.

What you'll be doing

  • Own the global PTP strategy, target operating model and multi-year roadmap
  • Set global process standards, controls and SOPs, minimising local exceptions
  • Lead cross-functional governance across Procurement, Finance, Shared Services and Business Operations
  • Act as the key business stakeholder for ERP rollouts across the PTP footprint
  • Drive automation: invoice capture, OCR, electronic purchase orders, supplier portals, dynamic discounting
  • Set and monitor KPIs and SLAs: touchless processing, PO compliance, cycle times, duplicate payment prevention, early payment discounts
  • Drive procurement savings, supplier consolidation and rebate agreements
  • Partner with Group Treasury and Procurement on working capital
  • Own global vendor master data governance, including fraud prevention, sanctions screening and tax and regulatory compliance
  • Influence senior stakeholders across international businesses to drive adoption of a single global process

What we're looking for

Must have:

  • Significant PTP leadership experience (10+ years) within a Shared Services or Global Business Services environment
  • Deep knowledge of procurement, accounts payable and the end-to-end PTP process
  • Experience supporting ERP implementations or finance transformation programmes
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to drive change without direct authority
  • A genuine process improvement mindset

Ideal:

  • Experience with NetSuite, SAP, Oracle or another tier 1 ERP
  • Exposure to AP automation platforms such as Basware, Kofax or Tipalti
  • Lean Six Sigma or equivalent continuous improvement background
  • Experience within a private equity-backed or acquisitive organisation
  • ACCA, CIMA or CIPS qualification

Why this role

There is no global procurement framework in place today, so this is a genuine build. Real influence over procurement strategy, supplier governance and automation, and a direct role in the Group's global NetSuite implementation. Success here comes from influencing rather than managing: stakeholder management and change leadership matter as much as the process design itself, particularly in balancing global consistency against local business needs.
