Job Outline
- Provide breakdown cover on automated fast‑moving equipment, as well as service and repair of production equipment in line with FMCG policies and safe working procedures.
Responsibilities
- Continuous improvement of equipment
- Day‑to‑day attention to mechanical breakdowns and changeovers
- Generate ideas for improvement
- Find the root cause of production problems and prevent recurrence
- Electrical fault‑finding
- Safe installation of machinery and control panels
- Installation and service of material handling, weighing and wrapping machinery
Qualifications
- Experience within a manufacturing or production industry essential
- Team player with plenty of ideas, enthusiasm and ability to work under pressure
- Open‑mindedness to learn new techniques and technology
- Electrical bias and mechanical ability essential
- Formal qualifications to NVQ, C&G or ONC
- Time‑served apprenticeship advantageous
