Senior Swimming Pool Engineer
Salary: £30 – £38k neg depending on experience and knowledge. Hours: 8am to 5.30pm with 1-hour lunch. Benefits include 28 days holiday, pension, company vehicle, annual bonus, fully funded training schemes, rest room with free refreshments, uniform, and other benefits.
You will join our established clients\’ friendly and professional Engineering Team, responsible for the installation and maintenance of customer pools and spas. The team is known for friendly and efficient service and undertakes all aspects of pool care, including the installation of new home and commercial swimming pools, hot tubs, and spas.
Ideally, you will have experience in the construction of swimming pools, either new build or refurbishment. However, engineers with experience in other related building projects will also be considered.
Job overview
- On-site customer job completion from inception to completion
- Attend customer premises for initial consultations and fault finding
- Contribute to the design of new installations or schedule of works
- Handle all technical aspects of new pool build
- Build plant rooms and install pool equipment
- Pressure test pipework
- Detect and repair leaks
- Install and maintain or replace:
- Pool liners
- Filtration systems including UV systems
- Pool heating systems
- Knowledge and fault finding within Air Handling Systems (AHU)
Key responsibilities
Pool Engineer\’s daily duties may include some or all of the following activities:
- Manage the efficient running of jobs assigned by the Technical Manager or Directors
- Manage site activities and staff (permanent staff and contractors), ensuring health and safety protocols are followed
- Act as the primary contact for customers during maintenance, servicing, or installation works
- Prepare new job quotes and complete all related paperwork following company procedures and using online IT systems
- Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations, health and safety requirements, company memberships (SPATA, ISPE), GDPR, etc.
