I\’m looking for an ambitious and forward-thinking Mechanical Design Manager to join a well established M&E contractor.
You\’ll be responsible for:
- Reviewing tender documentation and identifying project risks.
- Assisting the design team through the scheme/production design stage and the delivery team through into implementation and handover.
- Demonstrating design management procedures, preparing design programme and setting design deliverables.
- Attending/chairing design team meetings as necessary during the contract.
- Monitoring and reporting on design progress, statutory approvals, outstanding information required, subcontractor design, environmental/CDM issues.
- Ensuring compliance with BREEAM.
- Developing and agreeing design input/output responsibilities between consultants and subcontractors with design responsibilities.
- Monitoring progress and status of RFI\’s and document control.

- You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and provide support to strong, motivated construction teams.
