Fit-out contractor delivering high-quality commercial projects for blue-chip organisations seeks an experienced Project Manager to work directly from their client’s offices, acting as the key interface between the client and delivery teams to ensure smooth coordination, transparency, and successful project completions. The role will be to provide day-to-day project oversight, communication, and coordination on behalf of the contractor. This position requires a blend of project delivery experience, stakeholder management, and client-facing professionalism. You will act as the on-site representative of the contractor while working alongside the client’s internal teams, consultants, and supply chain partners.
Client-Facing Duties
- Serve as the primary on-site liaison between the client and the contractor’s delivery teams.
- Represent the contractor in all client-side discussions, ensuring clarity, transparency, and alignment of objectives.
- Attend client meetings and provide clear project updates, reports, and risk assessments.
Project Delivery & Coordination
- Manage project activities from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring consistent communication between the client office and site operations.
- Coordinate design information, technical queries, and programme updates between all parties.
- Support the client in reviewing drawings, specifications, and change requests.
- Monitor project progress, identifying risks, issues, and opportunities early.
- Ensure the client has full visibility of cost implications, timelines, and project constraints.
- Promote a strong health & safety culture across all project activities.
- Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, client policies, and statutory requirements.
- Provide weekly and monthly project reports, dashboards, and KPIs.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience managing commercial office fit-out projects, ideally in London.
- Previous experience in a client-facing or client-side secondment role (preferred).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate confidently at senior levels.
- Strong organisational and coordination skills, with a proactive, solution-driven mindset.
- Commercial awareness and experience working closely with QS and procurement teams.
- SMSTS, CSCS (Managers Card), and First Aid (preferred).
- Degree or qualification in Construction Management or a related discipline (preferred).
