A reputable commercial fit‑out contractor is seeking an experienced Freelance Health & Safety Manager to cover multiple live projects across London. The role will involve managing H&S across several sites at any one time, working closely with Project Managers and Site Managers to ensure full compliance and best practice.
Responsibilities
- Oversee Health & Safety across multiple commercial fit‑out sites
- Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks
- Ensure compliance with UK H&S legislation and CDM Regulations
- Review and approve RAMS
- Provide practical H&S support and guidance to site teams
- Investigate incidents and near misses, producing reports where required
- Liaise with clients, principal contractors
- Maintain accurate H&S records and reporting
Requirements
- Proven freelance experience within commercial fit‑out / interiors
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate (minimum)
- Strong knowledge of CDM and UK Health & Safety legislation
- Experience managing multiple sites concurrently
- Confident, proactive, and site‑focused approach
- CSCS (essential)
- SMSTS (preferred)
