A reputable commercial fit‑out contractor is seeking an experienced Freelance Health & Safety Manager to cover multiple live projects across London. The role will involve managing H&S across several sites at any one time, working closely with Project Managers and Site Managers to ensure full compliance and best practice.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Health & Safety across multiple commercial fit‑out sites
  • Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks
  • Ensure compliance with UK H&S legislation and CDM Regulations
  • Review and approve RAMS
  • Provide practical H&S support and guidance to site teams
  • Investigate incidents and near misses, producing reports where required
  • Liaise with clients, principal contractors
  • Maintain accurate H&S records and reporting

Requirements

  • Proven freelance experience within commercial fit‑out / interiors
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate (minimum)
  • Strong knowledge of CDM and UK Health & Safety legislation
  • Experience managing multiple sites concurrently
  • Confident, proactive, and site‑focused approach
  • CSCS (essential)
  • SMSTS (preferred)
